Watch 17 Hours of Creation in 15 Seconds: The Making of Twilight Dusk

Today, I am going to show you the process behind my newest original foil artwork: Twilight Dusk.
The Reality of Analog Art
In a world where digital images can be generated in seconds, creating physical art requires a completely different kind of patience and energy. Twilight Dusk took 17 hours of active creation time to complete. That is 17 hours of leaning over the desk in my Cleveland studio, meticulously hand-drawing every single fluid, organic curve and swirly, floral-inspired pattern.
To give you a glimpse into that process without making you sit through a 17-hour video, I condensed the entire journey into a fast-paced 15-second time-lapse.
The video starts with the blank reflective foil and rapidly moves through the layers of vibrant color being applied. But my favorite part is the end of the video, where the camera slows down to pan across the finished piece.
Because Twilight Dusk is created on highly reflective foil, the artwork is incredibly dynamic. As the camera moves, you can see how the light shifts across the different areas of the canvas, illuminating the bright paints and making the swirly patterns feel alive and moving. It is a massive burst of Visual Dopamine.
